Retired from the Veteran’s Administration Hospital with 39.5 years of service, having worked in Rehabilitative Medicine and Kinesiology. Served in the U.S. Navy and Army for 39 years. Received honorable mention award in 2008 Governor’s Council on Fitness.
I followed the bodybuilding circuit locally, and becoming a certified trainer appealed to me. Being in the gym on a daily basis was good medicine for me personally, as well as helping others to achieve their personal goals. With my background in rehab therapy I pursued the fitness therapy certification. This gave me more insight in the arena of rehabilitation and therapy in the hospital and gym setting. I have always been a proponent of solid, healthy nutrition, so in that regard, my next certification goal was Specialist in Fitness Nutrition. This in itself, along with my other certifications, opened up more opportunities for me in the health club field. This has given me the opportunity to apply my knowledge of fitness inside and outside of a gym setting. I am excited and honored to be recognized as an Elite Trainer with ISSA.
This has enabled me to re-invent myself as an Elite Trainer at the age of 58 and continue my pursuit of my passion in fitness not only to better myself, but to help others. Thank you for reading my Bio. Train hard and never give up...God Bless
